The Private Bin series has been inspired by the McGuigan family tradition to always share a special family wine with their guest. This Merlot displays the wonderful fruit flavours of raspberry, cherry and ripe plum. These are nicely integrated with caramel and vanilla oak characters to create a smooth and enjoyable red wine.

A colourful character, Andrew McPherson has spent his working life making wine and has made an incredible contribution to the Australian Wine Industry. Andrew loves a great Shiraz and a great Sunday lunch, combining the two with family and friends on most weekends. Andrew's Shiraz reveals black cherry, blueberry and mixed spice aromas team with a palate of ripe blackberries and a hints of pepper.

A jack of all trades, Jock McPherson had a wild and varied career as a writer, soldier, fisherman, publisher and PR man. His passion however, was winemaking. He planted his first vineyard in 1968, eventually passing it on to his only son Andrew who works in the company to this day. Jock's Cabernet exhibits a rich, ripe berry and mint bouquet and displays a full flavoured, fleshy, fruit laden palate.

This wine truly reflects aspects of who JO is - stylish, low key, minimalistic, authentic and of great character, strength and magnetism. Jo Nash Shiraz - Harmoniously balanced with brooding fruits and carefully integrated French oak, this wine offers intense blackberries and plums with a lingering spicy finish.

The Medici Lambrusco colour is intense ruby red. The bouquet is fruity and persistent with violet scent leading to sweet, fruity, fresh, lively and pleasantly harmonious. The froth is fine and rich when poured.

This Cabernet Sauvignon has a vibrant red colour, cassis and blackcurrant notes on the nose, with spicy complexity. The palate is rich and full bodied with delicious sweet fruit and freshness.

The wine is bright in colour. The nose has vibrant aromas of dark plum with sweet spice with savoury notes. The palate is medium bodied with rich and intense fruit. The wine finishes with soft, fine tannins and lingering spicy fruit.

Mt Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, and was named after the mountain overlooking Felton road and the southern Cromwell basin. As the vineyards are ageing Mt Difficulty are starting to see additional complexity emerging each vintage. Inviting and opulent, the palate is flush with sweet cherry & blueberry, followed by trademark earth & savoury notes and framed by baking spice and fine grained French Oak. The fruit floods through to the finish with a juicy balance, indicating acidity that will keep the wine aging well.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. The addition of fruit from their Bendigo vineyard has lends a powerful, darker edge. Roaring Meg Pinot Noir features red, blue and black berry fruit aromatics. The palate is harmonious with rich dark berries and a savoury line underneath. A hint of spice and dried thyme complement the succulent fruit. Fine silky tannins frame the wine with a great flow and finish.

All the characteristics of the distinctive new word are captured in our South Australian wines. This wine features black currant, mulberry and vanilla bean aromas, complemented by spicy plum flavours and a lovely, long finish.
