Like all good yarns, this one starts with three mates on a mission. In 1876 James Speight, Charles Greenslade and William Dawson started a brewery on Rattray Street in Dunedin, crafting a beer so good, it became known as 'The Pride of the South'. Fast forward 150 years and Speight's are celebrating being New Zealand's favourite beer, another legendary example of what mates can achieve together.
